A এবং B এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য কী? : What’s the difference between A and B?

আস্সালামু ওয়ালাইকুম ওয়া রহমাতউল্ল্যাহ্। World Tunes থেকে আজ আপনাদের নিকট একটি ব্যতিক্রম বিষয় নিয়ে হাজির হলাম আমি- আনোয়ার।

আমরা ইংরেজি বর্ণমালার A-B এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য জানি। কিন্তু এভাবে কি জানি? আমাকে বা আপনাকে বললে হয়ত হাতে গোনা দুই একটি পার্থক্য বলতে পারবো। ঊনিশত ষাটের দশকে একজন শিক্ষক কিভাবে তার মধ্যে পার্থক্য বললেন তা শুনে আমি রীমিমত থ- খেয়ে গেলাম। যার কাছ থেকে এর উত্তর শুনলাম তিনি দেখতে ততটা smart (neat and stylish in appearance ) নন। কিন্তু American English অনুসারে তিনি সত্যিকার ভাবেই smart (good or quick in thinking, clever)।

প্রশ্নটি ছিল What’s the difference between A and B?

(a) প্রথত difference হচ্ছে বর্ণে (letter) দুটির আকৃতিতে (Shape)।

(b) দ্বিতীয়ত difference হচ্ছে  English alphabet এ বর্ণমালায় তাদের অবস্থানে| A is the first letter of the English alphabet and ‘B’ is the second letter.

(c) ‘A’ is a mark given to a student’s work, showing the highest level of quality and ‘B’ is a mark given to a student’s work, showing good but not excellent.

(d) ‘A’ is a vowel but ‘B’ is a consonant.

(e) ‘A’ নিজে নিজে উচ্চারিত হতে পারে| ‘B’ উচ্চারিত হতে Vowel (e) এর সাহায্য নিতে হয়।

(f) ‘A’ এর অর্থ (একটি) আছে| ‘B’ এর আলাদা ভাবে ‘A’ এর মত কোন অর্থ নেই|

(g) ‘A’ article, determiner, numeral adjective হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয় ‘B’ এর এই রূপ কোন ব্যবহার নেই।

(h) English grammar – এ article chapter  -এ ‘A’ এর বিবিধ প্রকার ব্যবহার আছে| ‘B’ এর তা নেই।

(i) Associate of Arts – এর  abbreviation AA ( a US college Degree). এটি লিখিত হতে পারে মৌখিক ও লিখিত হতে পারে। ‘B’ এর মৌখিক কোন abbreviation নেই|

Born -এর written abbreviation ‘b’ যেমন – b 1914 ।

আসলে Smartness does not necessarily near wearing of light and stylish dress. It precisely means adjusting one self to any circumstances.
